Spec spot for Die Vegane Fleischerei, a plant-based food shop specializing in sausage and cheese products.

My role involved both pre-production and developing the script as well as handling the entire post-production process, including VFX shots using the ACES workflow.

“Down Bessy!”

It was suggested to show a cow at the end of the spot as a little joke. Since the project was primarily intended to gain new experience, I wanted to build and texture it myself in Blender instead of buying a ready-made asset or resorting to AI.

In the German version of Mulan, Mushu calls her horse Berta and refers to it as a cow. That’s how our cow came to its name! 🐮

Midsommer Production

During our production we had to deal with temperatures above 30 degrees Celsius for the entire day of shooting. However, all people involved—actress Luisina Nunez, my girlfriend as well as further friends—did an amazing job, being highly motivated and concentrated whilst filming our spec ad.

It was a pleasure filming in the original shop with the beautiful food plates prepared for us by the client.
